Welcome to a new imagining (and subversion of) the terrifying cosmic horrors originally envisioned by the writer H. P. Lovecraft. This fictional universe is fused with many characters from Dishonored, a video game released by Arkane Studios in 2012, as well as a plethora of original heroes, heroines, villains, and bystanders of all sorts who roam through the most tumultuous years of the 20th century!
There will be fighting, torture, poison, inhuman monsters and the folk who love them, as well as all too human monsters and the folk who suffer under them as well as hunt them to their doom. There will be true love, which can be bent until it breaks all on its own and cuts the lovers on the jagged edges of their own hearts. There will be enough hate to drown the world, and enough revenge to call back its ghost. There will be people who cling to their morals by their fingernails even when everything tells them to let go, and others who will fling themselves into the abyss without the slightest hesitation. There will cowards, and there will be those who pretend to be brave. There will be magic aplenty, as well as chases and escapes, lies and truths, and even a few strange occurrences that might pass for miracles in poor enough lighting.
Flowery diatribes adapted from The Princess Bride quotes aside, here's what this universe actually contains: the evils of eugenics, racism and the people trapped by it, bloody and horrific violence, war, queerness (flourishing in adversity), poorly-understood mental & physical illness, drug usage, organized crime, and an examination of the confines of gender roles in 20th century Europe and North America. Although this crossover universe seeks to treat these topics with sensitivity and compassion, they are not shied away from or hidden; this site wasn't created for or by people under the age of eighteen, and minors should not proceed any further.
